BiaoJu DDP small-parcel shipping: more than delivery

A parcel route is dependable only when its handoffs, customs scope, tracking events and exception owners are visible before booking.

DDP is a scope, not a shortcut

DDP means Delivered Duty Paid. Under Incoterms® 2020, the seller arranges delivery to the named destination and is responsible for import clearance, duties and applicable import taxes. BiaoJu coordinates the agreed logistics services for the seller; the sales contract and logistics quotation serve different purposes.

A useful proposal names the route, importer arrangement, declaration inputs, duties and taxes, last-mile scope, exclusions and the events that require a new review. Product compliance still belongs to the seller and the destination market’s rules.

The service begins before the parcel moves

BiaoJu’s stated operating approach begins with the shipment facts: product category, origin, destination postcode, packed weight, carton dimensions, order volume and required service window.

Those inputs determine whether the product needs additional documents, whether volumetric weight changes the commercial basis and whether the destination creates a remote-area or final-mile constraint.

  • Review the product and route
  • Confirm the warehouse handoff
  • Record the customs and delivery scope
  • Put assumptions and exclusions in the proposal

Warehouse handling is part of route quality

Order release, receiving, picking, packing and outbound scan events create the evidence trail behind a shipment. If those handoffs are not defined, a tracking number alone cannot explain what happened when an order is delayed or disputed.

The operating plan should identify which records are captured, when tracking is returned to the storefront and who reviews an exception before the parcel reaches the carrier network.

Sensitive products need a separate review

Batteries, liquids, powders, magnets, cosmetics, food, medical products and branded goods can require additional documents or may be restricted. A provider should ask for evidence before confirming a route, not after cargo reaches the warehouse.

For battery products, the review can include chemistry, watt-hours, configuration, condition, UN 38.3 information, safety data and packaging. The exact requirement still depends on the carrier, route and destination.

Tracking is useful when someone owns the exception

A dependable process does more than display a carrier event. It explains which milestones are expected, which delay signals require action and who follows up with the warehouse, customs broker or last-mile carrier.

The same principle applies to refused delivery, address correction, remote-area service, returns and storage. Responsibility and cost basis should be visible in the quote or operating procedure.

What to send for a route review

A complete first brief reduces the number of assumptions in the proposal and makes different route options easier to compare.

  • Origin city, destination country and postcode
  • Product name, category, photos and link
  • Packed weight, carton dimensions and carton count
  • Monthly order or shipment volume
  • Any batteries, liquids, powders, magnets or other regulated characteristics
  • The delay, cost, tracking or operating problem that needs to improve
