Start with what you know
Share the destination country, product, expected volume and your main shipping question. If packing details are not ready, start by WhatsApp or email. Confirmed packed weight and dimensions are needed for final pricing; a postcode is not required for the initial conversation.
Review the chargeable weight
Actual weight and volumetric weight can produce different charges. Ask for the service’s divisor, rounding and minimum-charge rules, then check packaging options without removing the protection the product needs.
Product and customs inputs
Product description, material and use, declared value, commodity classification if known, battery or regulated-goods details, importer arrangement and required customs scope.
Fulfillment inputs
Receiving pattern, SKU count, storage profile, order volume, units per order, pick and pack work, packaging, inserts, kitting, returns and exception handling.
What the proposal should state
Currency, validity period, chargeable-weight basis, included services, taxes and duties treatment, excluded events, estimated service window and information awaiting confirmation.

Why is a shipping price not useful without shipment facts?
Chargeable weight, product restrictions, customs scope, handling work, destination conditions and volume can all change the basis of a proposal. A useful quote identifies the inputs, currency, validity, included work, exclusions and information still awaiting confirmation.
How should two cross-border shipping proposals be compared?
Use the same product description, declared value, cartons, route, destination and expected volume for both. Then compare the chargeable-weight rule, customs and tax scope, delivery conditions, exclusions, validity period and exception charges—not only the headline rate.
